At the end of April Shelter HVAC will be working with the Canadian Institute of Home Inspectors to teach a full day virtual training session over Zoom, all about the ins and outs of HVAC. I have been reviewing the teaching outline they have and it is nice to see the depth of instruction the Canadian Institute of Home Inspectors are giving their members and students.
There is a lot of information to digest in the world of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning and along with it comes a large amount of misinformation. When wrong practices or knowledge spread around, it can be very dangerous. We work with high levels of electricity, explosive gasses, refrigeration chemicals that can be extremely harmful to the environment or those handling it, as well as combustion byproducts that could kill anyone in the space if not installed and maintained properly.
We have a responsibility to eliminate and detect any of the potential dangers involved with HVAC systems. It is refreshing to see home inspectors and specifically the Canadian Institute of Home Inspectors getting proper training and education to help this cause and keep us all safe!
As always, if you need any advice or help with your HVAC system in Calgary, don't hesitate to give us a call at (403) 536-6996
